- learnt to live sober and remembered why I drank
- realised that I am heaps funnier, my memory is heaps better and I look way better sober
- Spent months in Limbo with The Lover where we couldn't decide where to live, whether to stay in our jobs, stay in Perth
- sat on the beach with Jason and decided to take a chance and move
- fell in love with Jason all over again amidst my fear
- almost destroyed my relationship by going completely insane with the stress of moving
- Moved to Burma
- Wandered through the slums on Yangon alone listening to music
- Practiced law with some characters of dubious morality in an emerging market
- Got Angry, called my boss a c*nt and took off
- Lost days, nights and weeks in a fog
- Woke up to the love of a good man and quit drugs and drinking
- felt a profound euphoria about being alive and rediscovered the little things
- Caught up with people from the past in different places and contexts
- was mugged violently in Manila
- wept into the wooden floor clutching rosary beads for a week, buring each morning and night in a hot shower
- Went back to Manila on a business trip
- Got into AA and met my sponsor Sharmony
- Went on a journey with Sharmony and the gang
- Went to a bbq and crash tackled the chaps at the game of bones while squealing laughing. Remembered that I was a happy child
- Wrote for the AustCham Singapore magazine
- settled into life in Singapore
- got into aerial yoga and boxing. Perfected chandelier and monkey pose and my right hook.
- spent 3 weeks on a pilgrimage in England with Jason and his family
- Saw the tate gallery
- felt bitter shame and self hatred at my behaviour
- left town in the middle of the night for Sydney and destroyed a friendship
- started working in a sexist private equity firm
- convinced myself that Jason was seeing other women and that I was ok with it.
- Started writing happy stories, for legacy purposes
- Saw Antony in a book store in London and felt happy and at peace
... clutching at sanity like Tara Reid to a warm bottle of the second least expensive champagne...
